The kids had so much fun at disneyland this year. Bryce was just barely tall enough for the rides but to my surprise he was pretty hesitant to ride any of them. He did ride them but everytime we got off he would say " I dont really like that one, I dont want to go on it again" but Bailee is jsut the opposite and loves all of them and wanted to ride them over and over again. Anyone that know her, knows shes not too much of a risk taker but she definately loves disneyland(minus the characters).

We did get stranded once while we were in california and it was horrible. The weather was 100 degrees and our car broke down on the freeway the day after we got there so we pulled off the exit and poor Mike had to push the suburban a good 1/4 mile to park it. we eventually got it towed to pepboys and 800 dollars later and 4 hrs we were back to driving in crazy california. It definately wasnt the best day because we did a lot of walking and pushing bryce and bailee in one single stroller which can get pretty heavy. All in all it was a very fun, productive, relaxing trip.

We had soo much fun on our California trip last weekend. It was actually really nice not to have Lincoln to feed and change and naps. I missed him sooo much though it was killing me inside. Luckily when my mom had him she would send me pics of him on my phone and that definatley was so nice to get to see. This is on the Pier at newport! It was soo pretty.

we got to ride the farris wheel at newport. The kids loved it. It was just a little teaser to what was to come for disneyland the next day.

Bailees cast

Well... as most of you know now bailee didnt actually break her foot. I took her to the doctor and the exray tech said it was broken so the next day I took her to the orthopedic guy and they looked at the exrays and said they couldnt see anything. In the mean time Bailee couldnt walk on her foot and she was agonizing in pain(especially since Im this best mom in the world to make her walk on it the 24 hours previously)so the doctor said they would cast it no matter what so they did and she was not a happy camper for a while.

The crutches were definately one of the hardest things to force your child to use. I can get her to eat veggies and I can pick out clothes or make her do her homework but to actually force someone to use crutches is pretty impossible! It was a pretty fun week to say the least. About half way through the week she was able to move her toes and could touch her foot inside the cast without pain so the friday of our california trip we took her to get it off. She was totally fine and could walk across the room so the doctor felt fine with that and we had a blast in California.

I am soo bummed I haven't taken this cute little church outfit out earlier. Lincoln has gotten so big so fast that I thought I still had some time but he might only wear it a couple of times and thats it but he looks so dang cute I had to show everyone.

going insane

I know this is all part of motherhood but I definitely need a break from the screaming from my baby. Everyday at bed time I cannot get him in bed soon enough to end the all day crying spell. I seriously dont know what to do. If anyone has any options for me please let me know, I really cant take it anymore. He is the sweetest best baby if Im holding him all day but really who has nothing to do all day to just sit on the couch all day and do nothing, believe me I would love to do that but I do have to get other things done.

On a happy note, I love that my weight watcher plan is working. Im down 13lbs now and i feel really good, which makes me happier with myself which helps me be happier to my kids. Im definitely going to keep up with it.

Being a mom is the hardest and most wonderful thing Ive ever done. I love my sweet kids and the cute things they say and how much they learn everyday. thanks to all you moms out there that teach me to be a better mom everyday.

First day of school

Bailee is now a big 2nd grader!! She always says shes not excited to go to school but i think secretly she likes it on most days. But it was so fun this year to pick out her first day of school outfit. The night before we layed out a bunch of shirts and bottoms and decided what goes together and what doesnt. She is growing up so much and becoming so much more fun to be around and actually have conversations with and I love how she is starting to make her own choices about things instead of always wanting to know what I think first. She looked so cute that first day. Plus I gave her a perm the week before school started and I LOVE it. It makes it so easy in the morning to do her hair.

First biter biscuit!

Ok so Lincoln has totally been soo crabby lately and he definately has a reasone.... his first tooth has come in. So the other day I was at the store and decided that I would try a biter biscuit... big mistake. Luckily I only had him in a diaper because he had that thing in crevases I didnt know he had. So these are him in a quick bath in the sink. But hes so stinkin cute, I just dont know if ill ever give him one of those ever again. I dont really think its worth the mess.

This was Lincolns first haircut. We put him in the bumbo so it would be easier. doesnt he look so cute? He looks like a midget in the chair with the cape on. But now he is sooo handsome.

Here are some cute pictures of my sweetest boy Lincoln. Thanks Meredith for this lifesavor of a chair because it really does make Link feel like a big boy and he can just sit up at the kitchen table with us and is as happy as can be. I love these bunbos.Of course I had to post a cute picture of me and Link together because that never happens and I actually looked cute for church.

obsession????

Okay so I think I might have an obsession with pregnancy tests. I was soo excited to find out I was preggo with Lincoln that I secretly bought ptests and hid them under my side of the sink so Mike wouldnt see how crazy I am. So the other day I decided to clean the cabinets out in the bathroom and I found out how crazy obsessed I was. I just thought this was a funny picture. Yes, this was all for Lincoln.

Happy Anniversary!

Mike and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary on tuesday the 10th and I havent had time to post about it yet. We didnt actually get to do anything fun being a weekday and all. But this weekend my sister is gonna watch the kids so we can go do something fun. But I just want to say that I love mike more and more every year. I am soo greatful that I get to spend eternity with such a great man. He is a good dad and the kids love him so much. I love that we are a good balance for eachother. He is way more calm and laid back and Im the opposite and we work well together. I cant wait to spend many more years together!

Lincolns baby blessing

I know these are late but I actually forgot that I took these pictures and just realized it so Im posting it now. Mike is such an awesome dad and a wonderful husband. Im greatful to have a husband that can perform such a sweet blessing. He did such a great job. He usually gets really emotional with things like this and I thought this one would have been even more so with everything we have been through to get our sweet baby Lincoln here with us, but he held it together and Lincolns blessing was beautiful. Sheila(my mother in law) made his cute little outfit and we are very greatful for that. She made the same one for Bryce when he was blessed. It will be cute when the boys are older and know that their blessing outfits are the same. Thank you Sheila for being such a good grandma, we love you.

I love this picture. No one ever thinks to take pictures of the mom. So the only way I get in pictures is if I ask at a given moment to have Mike or someone take a picture. So the other day was actually a day where I got ready and realized I dont have any pictures of Me and my sweet baby. I thought it turned out cute!

Life around the Porter home has been a bit crazy for me. I think I have a few extra hormones this time around and they are driving me crazy and Im sure they are driving mike crazy too. I cant seem to keep calm at every moment. I am also blaming it on the breastfeeding, its not something I enjoy at all so its really frustrating and I think thats kinda bringing me down. Plus Lincoln thinks he needs to be held 24 hours a day and thats hard too. My house is a mess and I feel like i dont get anything done. But I couldnt ask for a sweeter baby boy and I love him so much. We waited along time for him and thats what keeps me going.



Bailee read a book at school called my robot and the teacher sent home a paper saying they could bring their robot in on friday if they wanted to so this is what Mike helped her make last night. They were supposed to gather recycled items and make the robot. I think it turned out pretty cute, Bailee was ssoooo proud of it.

sorry i have not posted!!

I have tried multiple times now to post some new pics of Lincoln and the kids and so far everytime it has failed. I get soo frustrated dealing with this blog its almost more trouble than its worth. If any one wants to come help my with it sometime I would really appreciate it. But honestly everytime I try to upload the pics it just stays blank forever and never actually loads them onto the page. So anyways, Lincoln is doing great! He has surpassed his birthweight by alot this week so the breastfeeding thing is working much to my surprise. He gained over an ounce a day his second week of life. We love him soo much and are soo glad he is finally here and we can kiss him all day. The kids absolutely love him to peices and cant smother him enough. Im a little sleep deprived but thats to be expected right? Other than that I am doing great. Just a little bragging note... I got my prepregnancy pants on yesterday!! Yay for me, i just had to let people know because I was terrified that this baby would put me over the edge and I would never get back in my pants. I will try to post pictures when i can figure it out or when my computer wants to cooperate.

Lincoln's Birthday will be Jan 13(which is tomorrow)

I just wanted to post about my very last doctors appt and let everyone know the details. I dont know when i will actually post again but it will be with pictures of the sweet baby boy. I went in today and I am 4 cm dialated and close to 100% effaced. Thats pretty good for not being in labor yet. Anyways, my original induction date is monday the 19th and my doctor told me he would see me then. Well then we got a phone call today at 4:15pm and it was my doctor asking if we would rather come in tomorrow at 9am instead because he had a cancellation due to some other lady having her baby today. "well duh!! like im gonna say no i want to wait till monday" anyways I told him of course we would be there. So needless to say we are ecstatic!

This pregnancy has been awesome and full of ups and downs as far as my own anxieties about everything. The actual pregnancy itself has been great, I cant complain about that. But i am ready to finally get to hold, smell, love, hug, kiss and anything else this sweet baby boy that we have tried so hard to get the past two years. Its all worth it thought. I will update later to let everyone know how it went.

I think santa left rudolph at our house!! I went to pick Bryce up from preschool and the teacher had all the little kids outside in the fron yard all looking like rudolph and it was the cutest site to see. Bryce left those antlers and nose the rest of the day and wanted daddy to see how cute he was. I dont know how anyone could make fun of rudolph when hes soo dang cute.

This day was monumental!! Bailee has never sat on santas lap and not screamed her head off. usually we even have to stay upstairs in the mall so we dont get too close. But for some reason this year she was determined to sit on his lap and tell him what she wanted. She still was a little apprehensive to be too close but she was soo proud of herself the rest of the night and we were so proud too. we will see what next year brings.

Ginger bread houses!

So the week of Christmas, the kids really wanted to make a gingerbread house so we decided to make a day out of it. They had alot of fun. Mike and I had to do the icing because that would not be too fun to clean up so the kids were fine with that as long as Bryce could eat everyother piece of candy he was good. They turned out too cute but what do you do with them after Christmas? I dont want to throw all there hard work out the drain. Anyways it was a fun day.

The week before Thanksgiving I had a wonderful baby shower thrown for my by my good friends Melissa, Jans, and Savannah. The day was sooo much fun and I really appreciate everyone that came and supported my little future miracle. I cant wait to see all the cute outfits and blankets on sweet little Lincoln in the very near future. Jana did such an amazing job on the diaper cake and I can tell it took soo long to get it together because taking that cake apart was torture..haha. Thank you girls for all the hard work.
