Fun outside

here are just a few pics of me trying to be a photographer and I think the pictures actually turned out pretty cute, then I had Bailee take a few pics of me and Mike.

I had Bailee take a full body so I could see what the picture actually looks like because I have lost 28lbs now and I feel so much better about myself and think I am looking a little better and I really wanted to see what my hair looks like in a picture because I have been growing it out for a while now and I really want to cut it, but it looks pretty only when I do it and thats not very often because it takes too long to blowdry.
 I couldnt capture any pics of Bryce because he was running around too much so I promise I love him too but I just didnt want to stop him from playing

Lyla turns 1

On June 1st Lyla turned one!! We had a birthday party for her at our house yesterday and it was a blast. we everyone went swimming and hung out and talked. Lyla absolutely LOVES the water in the pool, she would get soo frustrated and scream her head off when we wouldn't let her go in the water. She would just splash and kick and loved every min of it. Of course she got to eat cake and loved that, what kid doesnt love cake and also she got to open up presents. She really didn't care about opening the presents but she was so cute about the thing inside, she would open her mouth and make the excited noise. I just feel like the luckiest mom to have such sweet cute kids and I am so excited to get to raise a girl baby again after 8 years from having Bailee. Lyla is definately a feisty little girl but at the same time will give us all kisses and kiss her baby dolls too. She loves to laugh at Bryce, he can hardly do anything and she starts to giggle and then I tried to do what he did and she looks at me like I am stupid..lol. She is extremely loud and I mean LOUD!! Its a toe curling scream and even the dr at her well exam was shocked at how loud she can get for no good reason, she just likes to hear herself. She makes the cutest little faces, she loves to smile showing all of her teeth and honestly she looks a little like "chucky" but a really cute version, its too funny. Right now I am loving the fact that she wants mommy and Lincoln couldn't care less if I am here or not so its kind of nice right now to have her want me so much. Bailee gets frustrated because she wants to hold her all the time and Lyla only wants mommy but I know it wont last forever so I am holder her every second I can....

She had her well exam and she weighs 19.9lbs (25%), she is 31inches(95%), and her head is in the 85%

I am actually a little shocked at the height because she doesn't really seem big but it must be that she is pretty skinny that makes her look little and she definately doesn't seem like she has a big head. But shes healthy and doing great so thats all that matters..ps she doesn't fully walk yet, she will take 1-2 steps but thats it.

I told my mom that I really wanted a "birthday" plate for who ever has a birthday, they get to use that plate for their meals and she surprised me with this plate for Lyla's birthday, its glass so we had to watch her really carefully because everything ends up on the floor

This is the cutes face ever!! she would do this everytime she saw what was inside of each gift, also this is the same outfit that Bailee wore at her first birthday and I thought it would be fun to look back at pics and see how much the resemble eachother

Franklin went to heaven!

I was such a sad day for all of us when our beloved box turtle died. Poor Bryce wanted to go out and check on him and he came running inside crying and yelling that Franklin had died. I ran out there to make sure and it was seriously the saddest thing to watch bryce be so upset. It was a good lesson for the kids only for the mere fact that they understand now how if you don't take care of something than there is consequences. But that night I was just soo sad for Bryce and the heartache he was feeling, that I didn't hardly sleep at all. The next day we saw an ad on craigslist for sulcata tortoises which is a big type of desert tortoise and they are perfect for Arizona and our weather here. So we called the guy and went and took a look and got one. They were only 1 week old and in "tortoise land" the mom doesn't even care or remember she laid eggs so it's ok to take babies that early. We named him Mack and when he is about 15 years old he will probably weigh about 100lbs!! But he should be easy and fun for the kids since there isn't too much maintenance. Lincoln in a big boy bed

So last week Lincoln wanted to sleep in the bottom bunk of Bryce's bed so we tried it and within a few mins he was crying and wanting his crib. So 2 nights ago he wanted to try it again so Mike layed with him for a few mins and low and behold, he slept through the night in a big bed!! But we had a babysitter last night and we kinda forgot about the new bed situation so we warned the babysitter and told her to try and put him to bed with Bryce but when we got home all 3 older kids were asleep on the couch. She said they all fell asleep before 9pm so she just left them. I grabbed Lincoln and put him to bed in his big bed and he slept fine through the night again!! His naps we arent so lucky, he didnt get one yesterday because he wouldnt stay in his bed, I don't think I am ready for no naps yet. He is definately a kid that needs a nap so hopefully we can figure out a way for him to continue that, mostly for my sanity. Now the next week is potty training, which I thoroughly dispise!!! But it has to be done..

And summer begins...

So today marks the last day of kindergarten for Bryce and the last day of third grade for Bailee!! They had a half day today so I put Lyla down for a nap and let the older three go swimming for a while, Bailee has been begging to go swimming for forever so today was the perfect day to do it. I am really lookingn forward to summer time. I love the no schedules and no alarm clocks and no lunch packing,,YAY!!! There will be lots of swimming and sleeping in and popsickles.              

Mother of the year!

Well, I definately deserve mother of the year for this one...We were shopping at ross and I looked away for 2 seconds, but( I was seriously touching the cart) and then all of a sudden we heard a thud and screaming. I Looked at her and she was laying on the ground below the cart under a rack of clothes!!! I didn't have her buckled in and she decided she wanted out and completely fell to the floor. My mom had ice in her coffee in the car so she ran and grabbed a napkin with ice in it and Lyla cried for a good 15 mins while I tried not to, I felt like the worse mom in the whole world. I definatley need to buckle her now wherever we are because she is into absolutely everything. She was her happy self about 20n mins later but I am sure her head hurt for a while.

 This look on her face is so cute, once she saw me she took off as fast as possible to get away. we did finally get a gate for the stairs but every now and then it will get left open and she will be up those stairs so fast its funny

I just had to get a good pic of her cute reddish hair. There isn't a time that I am out and about that someone doesn't comment on her beautiful red hair, I love it. Her eyebrows out in the sun are so red too. I love the cute little personality she is showing now, she has the biggest cheesiest smile and smiles at everyone. She has started to let go when she stands up now and she looks at me like " what do I do now" shes just soo much fun. She has also started to get into toilet water and we have to put the garbage cans up everyday. Everyday is a new learning experience for me and for her.
