stupid contractions
i thought for sure Lyla was gonna make her entrance yesterday. I started my day off with contractions at about 8am and they were speratic every 5- 15 min for about 5 hours. i had to work so I tried to just ignore then so I could get through my day. In the afternoon they were starting to come more like every 2-5 mins but all day long they never got harder so I again just waited it out. My friend Savannah was over and about the 10 hour mark of contractions said I should probably go in to get checked because they werent stopping. So our husbands stayed home with the kids (they were watching the fight and the game) and savannah took me to the hospital. I thought for sure I was gonna be having her, the day before my dr checked me and I am already 2.5 centimeters dialated and 70% effaced and nope I was not progressing with dialation so they sent me home still having contractions and said good luck come back tomorrow if they get worse. So it was a looonnggg day. but maybe that means my body is practicing really good and it will be soon.

scary fall!!!
I know I havent posted in soo long and I really do have a ton of pictures and post to update on but it overwhelms me when I think about it so for now Ill just explain how crappy my day was yesterday.
It started out great, I was getting Bryce ready for his preschool graduation and needed to run to target for a few quick items. well when I was leaving target I had my purse and bags in my left hand, I was holding Lincoln on my left hip(he is roughly 30 lbs now) and Im 8.5 months pregnant. well, he started to slip off my hip so I tried to jump him back up like everyother time and I completely twisted my ankle and fell to the concrete on the side that I was holding Linc. I can count on one hand how many times I have fallen as an adult and its not fun, but being huge and preggo and holdind a 30 pounder, it was pretty traumatic. My first instinct as a mom was to protect lincoln and not let him hit too hard so I used my whole right side of my body to catch my fall and he started screaming and I started crying of course cuz I am a wimp and it really hurt pretty bad, Im not short so it was a long fall. It happened to be the one day that I chose to wear a skirt, which ended up over my waste at one point in time. Luckily these 2 sweet old men came running over and grabbed my bags and one grabbed Lincoln for me and walked me to my car. I love good samaritans!! I was pretty shooken up and they kept asking me if I was ok and I just kept saying "I think so, I dont know" and at that point it dawned on me that I was pregnant and didnt know what to do. so we got into the car and I called my ob office and started crying again which is totally me because I am not tough at all. They got me in that afternoon and checked me out and they were so sweet to make sure I was doing and feeling ok.
I wasnt too concerned about Lyla because I could definately feel her moving but I felt like I had maybe been leaking so they did an exam and found some fluid, but I had an ultrasound immediatley and everything is perfect as of right now so no worries. She also checked to see if I was dialated and I am 2cm and 50% thinned so that makes me excited that things are getting started. I did scrape my knee up and have a nice purple bruise on my hip and elbow but all in all I am ok, It was just really scary and my body is sooooooo sore today. I feel lucky to have helped lincoln in a way that he didnt get hurt and I didnt land on my stomach so now its just moving on towards having this sweet little girl of ours. I just wanted to document this event so I can remember later which pregnancy it was later in life.
