Valentine decor

I have never been a huge Valentine decorator, so this year I decided to make my house look really cute and full of "LOVE". I love how all of my projects turned out. I always think I am not very creative but I do have some creativity in me. The other day I had finally finished all the projects and put everything in a place and a few days later Bryce asked"mom when are we gonna decorate for Valentine's day?" My feelings were slightly hurt for a split second, but coming off of a holiday like Christmas, it's a little hard to compete with those decorations. Kids are so funny and they really do say whats on their mind.
I decided to add a few pink petals and thought it looked soo cute!

These "love" letters I actually got at a garage sale last year sometime for only 2 dollars for the whole set. They were just the plain cardboard color so I pute cute scrapbook paper on them and they turned out soo cute
I saw these cute wreaths on some craft blogs and the roses were taking forever so I decided to wrap the felt around the wreath and it really turned out cute. The ribbon can be replaced by Christmas ribbon and maybe even 4th of july ribbon. So I will definately get my moneys worth with this craft.
Here is a close up of the roses!
Here is one last craft and the fun thing about these are that they are very innerchangeable(sp), almost all the holidays can have letters that you just paint, glitter and glue onto cardstock then place in frame with no glass.

Christmas Eve

Ok so I am a little late on posting this but better late than never right? We always have Christmas Eve dinner at our house every year so this year was no different. My sweet mother in law made me some really cute aprons and when Kevin came over he said he wanted to help so he got to wear the cute apron, isn't he just adorable? We made yummy sweet pulled pork and cilantro rice and all the sides that would go into a salad or burrito, it was soo yummy. We had a huge span of people over. There was my mom and dad and sister and husband, then there was my mother and father in law, then we had my brother in law, then we had my sisters in laws over and last but not least Toby and his new family came too. The house was filled up. I love it though, it can get crazy but so worth having everyone together.

Here are some group shots of everyone mingling..lol

Sisters

I am soo greatful and very blessed to have the oppertunity to raise 2 daughters. I love that Bailee finally has a sister, she loves Lyla so much and is a huge help with her, she never hesitates to do things for her. I cant wait for the time that Bailee will teach her fun girl stuff and play makeup and barbies with her. I love these girls with all my heart! They re so much fun

Choices

This story might sound dumb to some people but to me it was great. For a long time now I really have to explain or maybe the right word would be "badger" Bailee into making good food choices. It's not an easy task with her 5 year old brother being very thin and actually eats the healthy stuff and her 2 yr old brother not really worrying about it too much. But Bailee really enjoys her food so it's kind of a battle every now and then. Well, the other day Bryce was going to have an icecream sandwich after dinner and I told Bailee she could have one too and she actually looked up at me and said " no thanks mom, I get to have one at school tomorrow so I don't need one tonight." It was one of those moments that dont happen very often but what I am trying to teach her about making good choices with food is finally paying off. I am so proud of her choices and I hope it continues

start potty training????

Lincoln has been telling us for a while when he poops but in the last week, now he actually tells us to change him when he poops. My friend and I were doing eachothers hair today and she looked over and said Lincoln doesnt have any clothes on, he had taken his pants and his diaper off and wanted to go pee pee on the potty!! So it looks like he might be ready, now I told him we need to go get batman undies and he was so excited..I absolutely despise potty training so i hopoe the next couple of weeks wont be too bad especially if hes ready..I cant wait to see his cute chubby bum in batman undies, hes so dang cute.

Lylas first grahm cracker

Lyla was soo fussy the other day and I didnt have anything for her just to eat or hold onto by herself to keep her busy so i gave her a big grahm cracker and it worked but it was a huge mess. Her face says it all. She was definately loving her treat. This smile is soo contagious, all of my clients tell me they have never seen a baby with such a huge mouthy smile. I even had to take her to the doctor this week and found out she had a double ear infection and when the dr walked inshe tried soo hard to smile and be happy but she was miserable. The dr even said "shes trying soo hard to look happy". This week has been a little rough w/a sick baby and nap times arent going good this week due to an ear infection so life has been put on hold while I sit in my jammies all day and hold my sweet little girl. I actually love moments like these because we are always so busy that we never just get to sit down and hold our little ones. It stinks that she sick but I love cuddling with her
