Bryce and basketball

So a couple of weeks ago Bryce started basketball. He is seriously soo stinkin cute in his uniform. The first practice we had, I thought for sure he was never going to want to play because he didnt want to shoot the ball he didnt want to listen to the coach. He has completely turned a 180 and loves basketball now.

This past saturday was a game and for the first time since this season started he has never made a basket and finally he made one practicing before the game, we were soo extremely excited and you could just see his face beaming. During the game he also got the first basket of the game too. I am soo proud of him. Lets hope it keeps up. Sorry the photos are blurry but I couldnt get my camera to work properly.

Easter camping 2011

Here is the whole family on the train tunnel, I love this cute picture, I have the same one last year and I was 8 months prego with Lyla so its really fun to have the same picture and have her in it. The dark picture is us inside the tunnel, and yes we are the stupid people that want to walk all the way through a tunnel and not know if a train is coming but we were fine(obviously) and we made it to the other side. It was pretty scary though becuase it was super dark right in the middle. I am pretty sure my mom took the picture of me without me knowing but I thought it was a cute up close picture so I posted it.

While we were out at the train tunnel and heading home, we spotted a slither spot in the sand and when we stopped we saw the nasty rattle snake. When we got closer to the snake we noticed that its belly was huge, so my dad shot it and cut it open and an entire rabbit came out!! The fur on the bunny tail was still fuzzy so he must have just eaten it within a day. As gross as it was, it was pretty cool to see.

Heres us girls, it took about 5 pics to finally get a cute one.

Here are the kids after the easter bunny came !!

busy!!

The last month has gone so fast with lots of chaoticness and lots of fun...My sis n law Amy and her kids have been staying with us and they will be here until the end of May. It has been a change of pace with a whole other family here but I love having a shopping and eating buddy everyday..haha. The house will be really quiet when they leave. But it will be summer so having 4 kids 24 hours a day wont be too quiet.

It has been really nice to have someone else to help with dinners, we have tried a few new recipes and they have turned out really good. We have also gotten to do a few crafts, I don't do much by myself with Lincoln and Lyla being so close in age and getting into stuff constantly so its nice to have help with them when we are doing crafts or dinner.

The other night I cut Bailee and Madi's hair, I love that they get to have a sister cousin for a little while(they do have their moments)so when one wanted to cut her hair, the other wanted to so heres a pic of both girls the night that I cut it.

10 years

March 10th 2001, I married the best man  ever! The last ten years have flown by. We have had so many great times and alot of not so fun times but I couldnt imagine going through the trials in my life with any one other than this sweet man. We have had 4 sweet kids over the course of 10yrs, I feel soo lucky that Heavenly Father has blessed us with a happy marriage and these 4 healthy kids. My heart is full today knowing how much I have been blessed with. I look forward to the rest of our lives together and making tons more memories together. I love you Michael Porter, more than words can express.

Lyla is 9 months

Lyla is 9months old already!! I have a love/hate relationship with this age. I'm a newborn kinda gal, I love the sweet tiny babies that you can hold all day and they smell good and are so warm. 9-12 months is the worst age to me because they want down and they cant always be down wherever we are and they crawl and put everything in there mouth, they get into just about everything there is to get into. But on the other side I love how she is developing a cute personality and its nice that she is a little mobile to be able to play a little bit on her own. Lyla is so cute, she does this really cute shy thing where she burries her head into my shoulder everytime someone talks to her, but then she will give the biggest grin. She does this high pitched scream right now when she wants something and we arent paying attention to her, thats actually really annoying but its amazing how loud she can get, shes our loudest kid by far..haha. Lyla had her 9month check up on friday and here are her stats..weight: 18.1 lbs (30%), height 27.25 in (75%), head 17.75 (70%), so shes tall and skinny with a big melon for a head..haha maybe shes following in Lincolns footsteps with a big head because his head is in the 95% so time will tell..We are so greatful for Lyla and the fun spunky, fiesty little redhead she is..we love her so much

Valentine decor

I have never been a huge Valentine decorator, so this year I decided to make my house look really cute and full of "LOVE". I love how all of my projects turned out. I always think I am not very creative but I do have some creativity in me. The other day I had finally finished all the projects and put everything in a place and a few days later Bryce asked"mom when are we gonna decorate for Valentine's day?" My feelings were slightly hurt for a split second, but coming off of a holiday like Christmas, it's a little hard to compete with those decorations. Kids are so funny and they really do say whats on their mind.
I decided to add a few pink petals and thought it looked soo cute!

These "love" letters I actually got at a garage sale last year sometime for only 2 dollars for the whole set. They were just the plain cardboard color so I pute cute scrapbook paper on them and they turned out soo cute
I saw these cute wreaths on some craft blogs and the roses were taking forever so I decided to wrap the felt around the wreath and it really turned out cute. The ribbon can be replaced by Christmas ribbon and maybe even 4th of july ribbon. So I will definately get my moneys worth with this craft.
Here is a close up of the roses!
Here is one last craft and the fun thing about these are that they are very innerchangeable(sp), almost all the holidays can have letters that you just paint, glitter and glue onto cardstock then place in frame with no glass.
